Chase Academy

  Since its opening in 2007, we have had over 200 students who were successfully accepted into many prestigious universities such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and Oxford. There are also many students benefited from our programs and chose to enter SKY Universities in Korea.

  We do not force our students to simply find one correct answer. We encourage our students to have their own questions and find their way to the answer on their own. Parents might believe that this method is inefficient to achieve high scores in TOEFL or SAT. However, we have observed that simply aiming for high score has its limits.

  Many of our past and present students were able to develop strong fundamental skills in English through reading and discussion. They were naturally able to achieve outstanding results on SAT, TOEFL, or TEPS, and also became very consistent.

​

  It is now common for our children to converse freely in English. However, we want our students to be highly creative and persuasive as well. A typical cramming education will not achieve this goal.

 

  At Chase Academy, students will not merely study for exams, but they will read, think, discuss, and eventually become free thinkers with their own perspectives.

 

With strong fundamental skills, specs and scores will naturally follow.

  체이스 아카데미는 2007년 개원 이래로 하버드를 비롯 스탠포드, 예일, 프린스턴, 옥스포드는 물론 세계 유명 명문대 진학생을 200 여명 넘게 배출해왔습니다. 또한 국내 진학으론 연세대, 고려대 국제학부는 물론 서울대 일반전형 합격자들 또한 다수가 체이스의 프로그램을 학습했습니다.

 체이스의 수업은 학생들에게 정해진 답을 찾도록 하지 않습니다. 학생들은 본인이 읽은 것에서 자신만의 의문점을 제시해야 하며, 그 해답 또한 토론을 통해 스스로 찾아내야 합니다. 이런 수업방식으론 토플, SAT 성적이 나오기 어렵지 않냐며 부모님들께서 걱정하실 수도 있습니다. 그러나 기본실력이 제대로 갖춰지지 않은 채, 문제풀이로만 끌어올린 점수는 점수로만 끝날 뿐입니다.

체이스의 많은 졸업생들이 증명한 바, 영어원서의 정독과 토론을 통해 학생들은 뛰어난 어학실력을 갖추게 됐을 뿐만 아니라 SAT, TOEFL, TEPS 등의 시험에서 고득점을 기록했습니다.

이제 우리 아이들이 영어로 의사소통 하는 건 기본입니다. 그러나 일방적인 주입식 수업과 고득점을 위한 문제풀이 수업으론 절대로 높은 수준의 대중 설득력과 사고력을 키워줄 수 없습니다.

체이스와 함께 시험을 보기 위한 공부가 아닌, 문학과 비문학을 읽고 토론하며 나만의 사고방식과 안목을 키워주는 공부를 하십시오.
